About the National Pyramid Trust for Children

Mission:
Pyramid was set up in 1993 to help children of primary school age (5-12 years) fulfil their potential in school and in life by building their self-esteem and resilience.
Pyramid's aim is to provide support within community and educational settings to quiet, withdrawn or isolated children who are finding it difficult to integrate or make friends, helping them to develop social and emotional confidence and well-being.

How it works:
Pyramid is a programme for use in primary schools and to follow up young people in the early stages of secondary school. It aims to identify children who are facing difficulties in their social and emotional development so that some sort of help can be offered. In parallel, Pyramid can now offer Parent Support Groups to help parents to support their children’s social and emotional development.
