Employment, commercial and general common law.
Michael appears regularly in Employment Tribunals as well as the Employment Appeal Tribunal, county courts, the High Court and has appeared in the Court of Appeal.
He has substantial experience in discrimination litigation, TUPE and related matters as well as unfair/wrongful dismissal and claims under the Working Time Regulations. He covers all stages of employment law from advising on the commencement of proceedings through to representation at tribunal and also, where necessary, advising and representing on appeals.
His advisory work includes claims under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 and the enforceability of restrictive covenants.
He has represented a diverse range of clients, from individuals to multi-national companies, and has also appeared against a number of local authorities as well as on behalf of a variety of public bodies and organisations.

Hipgrave v Jones [2004] EWHC 2901 (QB) - Standard of proof in proceedings for an injunction under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
  Instructed in the Court of Appeal for one of the Defendants in the Hungerford Bridge murder.
