  McDougall v Richmond Adult Education College [2008] IRLR 227, Times Law Reports (Court of Appeal 22 February 2008) - Approach to be taken by the Tribunal when considering recurring symptoms for the purposes of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
  The London Fitness Consultancy v Hickman (EAT, 9 June 2005) - Appeal against an Employment Tribunal's refusal to admit new evidence by way of a review.
  Tamborino v Kuypers (EAT, 13 Oct 2005) - Consideration of whether a letter to the Employment Tribunal should have been construed as a withdrawal of the claim.
  Flett v Matheson EAT [2005] ICR 1134. Decided that people working under the government's Modern Apprenticeship Scheme are not apprentices as recognised in law
  El-Hoshi v Pizza Express Ltd. [2004] All ER (D) 295; IDS Brief 768/9 - Established the principle that by taking sick leave and receiving sick pay an employee cannot be deemed to have affirmed his employment following a repudiatory breach by his employer.
  Descombes and another v Firthglow Ltd. (t/a Protectacoat) [2004] All ER (D) 415 - Concerned the definition of an 'employee'.
  John Wyndham t/a John Wyndham Hair Care v K.L. Miller (EAT, 1 July 2003) - Confirmed that even small employers must provide an opportunity to appeal against dismissal and refused to follow Tiptools Ltd. v Curtis [1973] IRLR 276.
  Sands-Ellison v One Call Insurance [2003] All ER (D) 389, EAT - Concerned penalty clauses in contracts of employment.
  Elkouil v Coney Island Ltd. [2002] IRLR 174 - Changed the established practice for awarding compensation in unfair redundancy cases where the employer fails properly to consult with the affected employees.
  Publications
  Article for 'Adviser' issue 94, published by the National Association of Citizens' Advice Bureaux on the availability of non-pecuniary damages for unfair dismissal.
  Article for 'Adviser' issue 90, which considered how the EAT decision in Elkouil developed a new head of damages for unfair dismissal.
  Wrote and published 'Redundancy and Your Rights', now in general circulation in job centres, libraries and other information points throughout southwest London.
  Co-author of 'The Regional Contribution of HIgher Education'. Also wrote a comprehensive report entitled 'Business Service Provision by Universities in the South East' for the Department of Trade and Industry and the South East Development Agency.
  Dissertation entitled 'Freeing Posner from his Capitalist Chains' published in UCL Jurisprudence Review 1999.
  Other Information
  Worked for the Fulham Legal Advice Centre for over two years, representing clients before the Employment Tribunal and Social Security Appeals Tribunal. He is now a trustee of the Centre.
